Memory:The Origins of Alien (2019)

Post by xdugef » Sat Nov 09, 2019 7:16 am

Watched this last night.. had some bits in it I had not heard before like the influence of Francis Bacon's Three_Studies_for_Figures_at_the_Base_of_a_Crucifixion on the chest bursting scene and some of the obscure science fiction comic books and movies that the script was based on.

Yeah.. the first was the best.. the more recent ones suffer from a lack of the gritty space trucker realism of the first one

The original 1979 Kenner Alien Toy is fucking Epic...

I have almost spent as much on some collectibles but the NECA versions is essentially the same just much cheaper and better articulation.

saw prometheus, and while it was a petty ridley scott film, i lost my excitement about seeing the other films
post-noise-theory.

Prometheus didn't need to happen. You shouldn't need to explain the mystery that made Alien so great.

Can't bring myself to watch Covenant.
