you are telling the software to remove pulse demon when it hears pulse demon. you trained it on pulse demon and it removed pulse demon as expected. if you trained it on some sine wave or some clean feedback you would get a notch filter instead. you trained it with wide band random noise. so you trained it to removed every random thing at all audible frequencies. this is about as monumental a discovery as posting that your speakers make no sound when you turn them off. automatic noise reduction can sometimes be a black box. there are many details about how it does the noise reduction that are not given. dolby cassette noise reduction is exactly the same thing a low pass filter however the so called technology is proprietary. obviously you could do these things yourself if you wanted to. even algorithmic DSP is freely available if you want to develop it.

With respect - its not about technology, there is a difference between technology and art, do you see this? you seem not to follow the difference between Art and Science/Technology.

https://www.wikiart.org/en/robert-rausc ... oning-1953.

Thus we bear witness to the crisis that in our sheer preoccupation with technology we do not yet experience the essential unfolding of technology..

Because the essence of technology is nothing technological, essential reflection upon technology and decisive confrontation with it must happen in a realm which is, on the one hand, akin to the essence of technology and on the other, fundamentally different from it.
Such a realm is art.
Martin Heidegger, Basic Writings, The Question Concerning Technology, p. 238.

Ergo in noise the "use" (misuse) of technology to no (technological or other) purpose. Making noise unlike any previous 'music'. - OK it does share something of Cage Rauschenberg et al. and Dada, but lacks the intention.

this is an extremely juvenile and condescending remark based on almost nothing. I was not writing a thesis on the differences between art and technology or a thesis on the differences between art and science. I have no interest in making that argument. what I did say is that you have absolutely no understanding of the technology that you are attempting to use to make art. your attempt is very crude and your discovery was that the noise reduction tool removes noise. you posted here to the group with the conclusion that this is an anomaly worth discussing. you announced your findings and your conclusion. I am pointing out the flaws in your logic and your conclusion. you think that I am using technology and science to diminish or attack your art. the only problem with that viewpoint is that you never made any art. you are just poking around in the dark with technology making a track of silence. you are not john cage and even if you were john cage already did it. he was better at marketing than you are.
