Hereditary

Post by DonaldKrump » Thu Sep 06, 2018 8:07 pm

so don't bother watching trailers and stuff. Just try to see it, streaming or buy it or whatever. First time I've [removed, we can talk about it later] and I'll... if you don't like it and have serious problems, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, I'm betting most of you will really really like it. Just go see it. Please. watching 2 nights in a row.

one of the more unique and original movies I've seen in a while. I did think it could have used some more editing though, about 25-30ish minutes shaved off and it would have been a masterpiece. In my worthless opinion at least.

It was really underwhelming... Middle of the road most of the time, on the verge of getting real good but then... Meh.
The ending, the more I think about it, the dumber it seems.

Yeah, because the acting was very good, but the horror was lacking... Things that happen in the end just don't make a lot of sense other than ideas of how to be scary and edgy and then is just one long explanation and... Fuck, Rosemay's baby was airing on the same night and I felt sorry for not just rewatching that one even tho I found Hereditary ok and entertaining. Just not anything special.

I've never heard of it outside of this thread. I give it 2 out of 5 stars.

I laughed at Hereditary when the Mum was floating headless to the tree house (Highlight for spoiler), it just looked so funny.

Midsommar wasn't very good aside from the effects and the crying acting from the lead actress.

Well I thought more people would be way into it. Then don't see Midsommar. Weirder, slower, less shocking, etc.
