Is this a good pedal for noise i just found one for 40 dollars.

seems like envelope follower
almost sort of like ehx microsynth(on synth settings)
you can use it
works off your volume peaks
you can cram noise through it
for getting extra synth sound oscillator with filter sweeps
completely worth the $40
they normally used go for twice that at the very least

Yeah it's great. But also, every pedal is good for noise :3

distortion is probably the most common, simple, and therefore most affordable type of pedal
at the same time, it's probably the one effect that will affect your overall sound the most
no reason to buy junk when you can get the real deal without breaking the bank

is the behringer a DS1 clone
the Boss DS1 is actually made out of metal... not plastic
paid like $10 for mine at pawn shop
PROCO RAT sounds better IMO (LM308N Op Amp)
yet the BOSS DS1(the standard classic distortion pedal) isn't bad
plus they are plentiful/inexpensive
$30 and under on ebay w/shipping used

ive had a lot of good luck with behringer pedals. but this one i ordered is wonky and makes strange crackly noises

the vintage series in metal cases look alright
no clue how they sound
or if it is better build quality overall than the plastic pedals
you would think it would be
own a bunch of behringer crap
almost never use any of it
will eventually dump it all on ebay
except maybe tube ultragain pedal with phantom power for microphone
that use as front end into real dual 12ax7 tubeworks preamp

you can also consider DigiTech Grunge Distortion
they are despised for guitar
therefore you can catch them cheap
got one for $15 on craigslist
then heavily modified the pedal
they seem ideal for noise without any mods
anyone one else have experience/opinion on using this pedal?

im thinking of selling a boss super shifter.

have a Boss PS3 Shifter that almost never use.. probably paid $20 for it
that super shifter is stereo
if nothing else you can turn the effect way down
use it for mono to stereo splitter in your FX chain
