Wine is meant to go with food and that's how I like it best. I don't drink it often but when I do it's very nice. I'm a total rube about it and can't really tell the difference between one red and the next and one white and the next. Actually that's not strictly true, I like chianti for reds (give me the big bold flavors) and cabernet and pinot grigio for whites, but I for sure couldn't tell an expensive aged wine from a medium-cheapo Robert Mondavi budget one.
I definitely DO NOT like the sugary kool-aid "wines." If you don't like wine, that's fine, don't fake it; just have a soda. Or learn to like real wine.
You know what's good? Proseco. It's a sparkling white wine like champagne - it's the Italian champagne, basically - but the missus and I like it much better than champagne. It's not as sweet, and it's lighter. It's great for cutting through rich flavors in say a fish or chicken dish. It's generally cheap, too, especially compared to champagne.

I never had a real taste for true wine, but I would drink Boone's Farm wine. I used to be able to drink 4 or 5 bottles in a night. Now a bottle or two does me in.
I'm from Wisconsin.

I just don't like it. I drank it more when I was underage but it was only because most people would buy that disgusting Natural Light stuff because you could buy a case of cans warm for only $5 at convenience stores back in the day. I experimented a bit with stuff like Sam Adams cherry beer and Hornsby cider after I turned 21, but I usually just drank liquor most of the time. Bourbon, Vodka, Peppermint Schnapps were usually what I drank. The ONLY time I ever drank beer after that was if I was at a bar and had already drank a ton of mixed drinks and would buy a couple bottles of Budweiser to slam before we would leave the bar because I couldn't afford another mixed drink and I was usually so drunk by that point that it didn't matter anyway.

There's this wine from the north of Italy called Brachetto which is lovely.
It's a sweet sparkling red that's made with this type of grape that tastes somewhat like strawberries.
Very nice, sorta expensive, easy to find in Italy // harder in mainland europe // even harder in the UK // if you live further, just eat a bag of dicks acus you ain't getting any.
