do any of you use the vocoder effect?
i have not seen it discussed yet and i think its an interesting effect

Sometimes, yeah. I like it on the MicroKorg, you can get some cool sounds with fast noise modulation.

I spent a lot of time some years back trying to find a cheap way to get a 'real' (hi Xdugef :D) vocoder, ended up with a couple of zoom rackmount multi-fx units which can do it (ie you can actually connect any carrier signal, as opposed to some pedals etc which just do a preset 'robot voice' thing with an internal carrier signal). Need to have a go again but didn't always find a good use for it in Noise setups. Had fun putting random slowed down tapes thru it a little while back for fake stockhausen weirdness

Had a good interface not being a pedal, and excellent reverb... as well a scatter effect etc.

Yep those are great, traded mine for eurorack stuff tho as I didn't really use it enough. + yeah preset carrier signal

i just mean that adding 'parody' after what you do doesn't make it any different or special compared to what anyone else is doing hehehe
