movies are a psyop
why do big budget movie turds get made? how could they not know in advance how unreceptive the audience will be? sure, sometimes an idea formed in a vacuum gets barfed out before being vetted, a product of, usually, a single retard with resources enough to fully embarass themself. but what about the professional types, the ones that look at movies as an investment. investors dont throw money around unless there is a return promised. so what then might be the return on investing heavily in an idea that bears no monetary reimbursement? why make an unpopular movie, with big name actors and snazzy production, promote the crap out of it, and in the end look like a dipshit? que?
movies are becoming more of a socialized emotional test, used by our masters to guage popular opinion on a subject. the washed masses flock to social media to betray their every thought. its really quite genius. especially when protrolls are directing the conversation. its like a therapy session where you bitch and moan and sometimes praise and the theRapist gently mitigates your concerns until you are calm enough to resume shopping. movies are only one part of it though, as now theres the intertubes and reality news vision. all vital in the war on your freedom. if you think youre free, go out in the world and talk some shit, loud and proud, about something people like. youre as free as they let you be.

You are, correct, sir.
Movies and television are both forms of mass social control. As well as pop music and advertisements.
Generally, anything seen on television is coldly-calculated, cynical propaganda, designed to elicit a Pavlovian response in the masses. This will often be done in a surreptitious manner, using covert or stealthy imagery, vague "scare" phrases, Madison Ave. sales techniques, and other forms of social programming and/or social control so that the media masters and THEIR bosses can keep a tighter lid or reign on the shuffling throngs; better to police the "herd." When they are trying to bring in a new phase of social engineering or control, you will begin to see their agenda reflected in advertising, television situation comedies, news broadcasts that "affirm" the new orthodoxy, school curriculum, comic books, music videos, ad infinitum. A century ago, there was no instantaneous, mass electronic media hypnotizing 24/7;hence, the world was quite a different place, also.

Provide some more articles about how american films are...just a stomping ground for the power elite to influence people.

not sure wtf you mean by 'articles'?
Deepwater Horizon
an emotionalized story with lots of action
deflects well away from the issue of uncontrolled corporate rape
focuses on the plight of man, the struggle to survive, and how exciting dying can be
grabs the viewer in a feely kinda way
makes you feel better about your place in the machine
while it subtly reminds you that you are easily replaceable
work will set you free
