Volcanoes are cool, fire, lava, hot ash. Only happens once in thousands of years. As long as you don't live on top of one everything is good. In 1980 I watched Mt. St. Helens erupt. I stood there with my mouth hanging open thinking WTF? But to this day was the coolest thing I have ever seen. Everywhere a person lives there is a chance of some natural disaster wiping out the whole area, ya roll the dice ya takes your chances. It's so beautiful here that no matter what shitty thing is happening in my life I look around and smile, and wonder and at the beauty and remoteness of this awesome place. One of the few places where you can still walk out into the forest and get lost forever. I have lived other places but never been as happy as I am now, here, in this place.
