Zoviet France???

Also, I just got a 7" single by Dog Leather, "Bad Poet Society." Definitely worth the reasonable $6, though the b side is a lot better imo.

M83 - Hurry Up, We're Dreaming

I saw an advertisement for this- no, the advertisement for this was pounded into my fucking skull, so much so that I finally gave it a listen.

Obviously, this isn't noise, isn't metal, industrial or anything like that. If you can't tolerate hipstery soft synth rock or "shoegaze" type stuff, turn back now.

Overall... it wasn't bad, maybe slightly above 'okay.' Track six on the first part sounds like a fucking commercial, so much so I was too annoyed to finish it. Beyond that aggravating, almost humorous flop the rest of the album isn't too bad, maybe a bit more predictable later on. Starts strong, maybe too strong for this kind of sound, but gets too weak, too fast. I mean, I guess it's not bad, just nothing breathtaking. I think thy try to hard to make this sound like actual dreams, that they end up sounding like they want to transition into corny new wave music and skip the bullshit altogether, which isn't to say their more instrumental tracks aren't good, on the contrary most are very good, just the shorter bits and overall atmosphere sounds like the exact same audial interpretation of dreams every other artist on the planet with a keyboard has already done.

For fans of Pictureplane or even The Shins who want less formally structured "hits" and more "oh-oh-whoah-ah-whoa-whoa" vocals.

Seriously? I've never even fucking heard of them.

You should feel ashamed for using the words "hipstery" and "shoegaze" in the same sentence, btw.

IT'S THE ANTI-HIPSTER! It came out long before such a variety of individual would've ever been associated with this kind of music in the first place.

^ musical reference? :)

NP: My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

Found a cheeeeeep copy at the ghetto mall to replace my sadly pinhole-infested copy!

trippin' and listening to some shoegayz.

PS: Loveless is one album that really should have been/needs to be re-issued on MiniDisc.
My crappy old CD player can't make the seamless transitions between tracks.

PPS: OMFFFFFG: http://www.discogs.com/My-Bloody-Valent ... se/1021325

WANT.

Actually, it's more of a case of being lazy with making up titles. The ones after that track had the same sort of titles (using band names) but I came up with better ones for them. I just haven't come up with a better title for the other one. I don't really care, though.

The sounds are what is important anyway.
