perhaps the actual most awkward night of my life was going to supersonic to meet some guy from a noise board. he avoided me all night, and then went to the same last gig, a (solo) performance artist guy called thomas broughton. his entire thing was a big crotch and a malfunctioning microphone. true story, there may have been a record industry guy in the audience, and the couple sat next to me were all "we're here". everytime he went to sing into the mic it fizzed :D
