Please - this is not the place for self aggrandizement. The Oliver Tex thread i'm just trying to support the idea that noise is not decided either by Last-FM or a bunch of academics who for some reasons are peddling nonsense. You seem happy to slag me off, but let whole groups who are paid supposedly to figure stuff out get away with rubbish.

In the tex thread I made the remark that Frank Sinatra is not a Jazz musician or Sonic Youth and Fuck Buttons are not top noise artists. You would let such comments go?

I wouldn't argue about Frank Sinatra; he's a jazz musician in only the vaguest senses. Sonic Youth are noise rock, and I had look up Fuck Buttons, which should indicate just how much this subject means to me.

Sorry if my method gave that impression. I posted in Misc a topic which I thought was a tangent to the Oliver Tex thread as I thought misc the better place for such. Rather than propose by paraphrase the ideas were my own I copied the quotes.

You said you disagreed - but on what grounds - then began what finished in some fairly purple prose. So the original idea of Art being over was lost in some troll on troll exercise... IMO.

Certainly that is an opinion. I don't share. And it seems i've given you reason for it. Just as Whitewarlock offered advice. But again that was not about the topic, (end of art?) but that I post too m uch and should get on with making noise.
