DOD grunge in feedback loop..

Post by Fantobacon » Sat Mar 10, 2007 7:35 pm

anyone else trying to run this in their FL?

i am running it:

aux send>Grunge>DOD Vibrato>to board.

overall i am not impressed with the results.

at times i still hear the clean feedback looping sound??

-i have a delay on order to add to this but...

really though is it the pedal or me...? i was hoping for something a little more extreme.

thanks for any input-

put it outside of the loop.
modulation effects and eq's work best in FLs like the rupture.

the grunge gets pretty synthy and annoying in a f loop. i never loop it anymore, its better just as a distortion.

yea.. in a fl it isn't that special.. i don't think it is annoying either, but with contact mics etc it works insane

Well, in my opinion feedbacking distortions always sounds lame to me. Just boring beeps and hums. I don

the buzz box and an eq sound amazing in a feedback loop, but i don't use them anymore - too much hassle and effort for limited results. its much more fun to use natural feedback and hit a guitar rather than stroke a eq pedal and make it look like yr doing something worthwhile.

putting a Grunge in a FL is like putting a microwave in a ford escort. it has practically no use there. feedback loops need like on distortion and a shit load of modulations. the Grunge is my favorite distortion and has so much use in a chain behind a mic or whatever, making crusty sludgy shit out of a signal. let it do what i does best. make some taquitos in the microwave.

Spinners as Oscillascopes!
Build a Plasma Tv into your Amp!
i don't really know how to pimp the pedals. maybe some glitter? white people who pretend to be black really like shiny things.

i put a distortion before and after every effect in my feedback loop, one of these is the digitech grunge, adds some crunch but you have to adjust the eq's to a certain spot, and the volume should stay about halfway up or else you will get all muddy. im not sure how the grunge you are discussing might differ
