Re: New To Noise: Many questions!
I think trying to quantify music is one of the biggest wastes of time in the world, like discussing your favourite colour or deity or pizza topping. People should realise that and get on with their life.

I know I'm like 3 months late, and maybe you've already done this (I haven't read the whole thread just yet), but if you haven't yet, go ahead and set up your bandcamp page (doesn't matter what it looks like for now, just have it exist in this reality), and download a software that you can record to (I'd recommend Audacity), and start uploading.

Re: New To Noise: Many questions!
if you are starting out then take his advice on bandkamp & Audacity(you can use it as multirack)^
watch youtube video tutorials/read the manual
it doesn't have the best learning curve
yet it's free open source & stable multiplatform

Why use Audacity if Reaper is free and way better, I don't understand you guys.
I used Audacity a lot, but it feels like a potato now.

Re: New To Noise: Many questions!
personally don't use Audacity very frequently
have my own old archaic tools that probably won't work for others
yet have used audacity before in pinch editing podcasts

I don't mean to be rude but isn't your avatar a reversed image of a banned nationalist organisations logo?
his logo is horizontally flipped Sturmabteilung logo...
not the old National Action logo...
we aren't living under Communist Chinese Zog police state internet rules
so he can have that logo without being thrown in gullag
personally voting he swaps for old N.A. logo
we are not "Apologists"
you can have your views
plus you will end up in jihadi jail if you don't follow party lines on internet in UK
some of us comprehend that
have fun
you have every right to say what you feel
"McFeels"
if we were gay pedo transgender african muslim refugee rapists would that make you feel more comfortable?

You are here for help with "noise"?
take input where you can get it
plus suppose this is your first lesson on the history of the Noise scene

Reaper is NOT free. It's $60 (USD). It is only free for cheapskates that just want to rip them off.Sleep Of Ages wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 1:56 pmWhy use Audacity if Reaper is free and way better, I don't understand you guys.

Re: New To Noise: Many questions!
Ok, right, it's not free, what they do is allow you to use the full software for as long as you want until you decide to pay for it. That is their business model, they allow it. if you feel like a cheapskate and/or rip off you just buy it, but I don't see them putting these tags on users.Laura91 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 4:47 pmReaper is NOT free. We could go on with examples and reasons and words and stuff but it would be useless.
Anyway, when you end up with some spare change (maybe on some discounted sale even) the software is usually way cheaper than the alternatives, in fact when I had a band and did some demos we bought it ( (because we're cheapskates it was collectively and when it was on promotion sale).
And with audacity, if you are not a cheapskate and value other people work you can donate.

I sure do miss the days of fuckwit politics being mercilessly relegated to MISC.
Presenting that festering subset as implied noise roots my ass.

isn't that precious
festering willful ignorance
whilst assuming some hippie utopian PC moral high ground
in the face of your own strategic demographic replacement by the 3rd world... fuckwit
1978 noise locked grooves vinyl 7"^
yet you have that record... right?
not expecting every ones "noise roots" are the same
