finally figured out for a friend how to wire up an on-on-on dp3t switch as a 3-way. This will work... right? the dark blue diagonal line = a jumper wire unrelated to the blue switch position lines, my colour code is confusing here.

Your goal is to connect the sections to ground/common? If so, then yes:

Red (switch up in relative position) will shunt HP and nothing else.
Blue (center) will shunt BP and nothing else.
Green (down) will shunt LP and nothing else.

I like ON ON ON toggles, but have run into failures more often than any other type. The most inexpensive I'll go anymore is Taiway or E-Switch, and I steer clear of the bottom dollar house brand like the plague. I have not yet checked out Vimex, but hear good things... YMMV.

Cool! Yes that's the aim, waiting to hear if it worked out :)

Thanks for that info :)

Randomly found this manual for a tube-based op-amp, actually quite educational about how op-amps generally work and the example circuits give me some ideas :) http://www.philbrickarchive.org/applica ... to1961.htm

the site is a motherlode of obsolete info and 50's electronics catalogs :)
