NOISE INTRODUCTIONS

Post by glasgow_smile » Tue Feb 12, 2019 8:48 pm

 I am new to this forum as I have not been very active with recording or releasing noise material in about 5 years due to life and struggles.

I thought i'd introduce myself and give others the platform to do the same.

My name is Zach Guttowsky. I'm 26 years old and still living in Houston, TX. I started making noise back in late 2010 and and perform under the projects Glasgow Smile, Postule, and Folter HNW. I am also a member of Black Leather Jesus, Piss Gag, and Protists of Nebula. I run the label Burial Recordings as well. It would be cool to meet some new people to collaborate with and new labels to possibly release some new material I have been working on.

I've been a member since like 2013? There are like 8 active members in BLJ.

I'm 30 and I live with my mom. I've accomplished even less than FAP. Let's do something sometime. Please. Help me out of this hole.

All my gear is caked with dust.

Laura, Indiana, I have a Noise project called Ghosts Of Dead Tables. I haven't done anything with it for a while, though. Started on a recording doing some cut-up material and it's been dormant for a while for various reasons. In the meantime, I've been working on a couple of side projects instead: Kathy's Special Brownies: there are times when it's solo tenor acoustic guitar stuff (instrumental only). Other times it's an Ambient electric guitar type of thing. The other one, to a much lesser extent, is The Outside World. It's pure field recordings. Sometimes, I manipulate them, though. But, a lot of it is pretty straightforward.

Put on a few shows from 2013 to 2016. It was fun. But, it was also a money pit. So, that isn't happening anymore. 99% chance that I won't play live again, either. Did a couple of shows where I was just the performer and "being on the road" (even though it was a single show each time and spread out pretty far apart), isn't all that fun to me, honestly.

Nah. I wouldn't go that far. If that were the case, I would've nuked the GODT Bandcamp page ages ago. I just don't care for certain things that are tied to the scene as it relates to the net.

The project isn't dead. Just inactive at the moment.
