Speaking of noise and recording techniques I recall reading in England's Secret Reverse that Stapleton was super annoyed with Bennet during the mixing session for The 150 Murderous Passions because he would just redline everything. remembered exactly this passage while reading the recording thread :)

the old maudio trigger finger looks similar to an akai MPD32 but they are super cheap on ebay https://www.zzounds.com/item--MDOTRIGGER trigger fingers have big problems with modern usb ports only managed to get mine working with an asus eee pc from 2007 maybe it will work hooked up via a midi cable...
