Re: Behringer Pedals

try again? It's funny how you you seem to think you have refuted my argument while apparently completely missing it. That "no solution, don't care" mentality is universal. Consider gun control, as just an example (I'm grabbing that because it's a nice and neat example of the "right hand" falling in...

Re: CB (HAM) Radio in noise setup??

I believe if you grab the signal before feeding it into the amplifier stage you'll have HF at a line level. From there you only need to demodulate it back into the audio bandwidth. For those playing at home, it is highly recommended to have a completely different system doing decoding, as then you c...

Re: CB (HAM) Radio in noise setup??

Some of those CB mics want a voltage across the element, others can be punched right into a signal path with a simple change of connector. I guess you could say that about ANY microphone, really. Ghost note in RF demodulation is a different subject. Tons of fun out there. EMF flying around everywher...

Re: Behringer Pedals

standard modern Chinese culture dictates if something breaks you throw it away & buy another While I am rue to get mired in another fucking Behringer thread, I fail to see the merit behind this statement. To lend the blame of disposable culture on the nation that has allowed itself to be exploited ...

Re: Rochambeau Musical Apparatus

That's a nice looking build. I've also seen some enclosures on etsy, but everything there seems directed at the one-off craft builder "price is no object" crowd. Finding a cost effective point between one off and ordering up a hundred from your neighborhood metal shop is rough, that's why I started ...

Re: Rochambeau Musical Apparatus

where are you getting those blank metal box cases? I get them at my local metal yard in 4x8 sheet form, then I show them the slitter, brake & spot welder. have metal shop yet would rather not bend them on the brake (grew up working in the family metal shop... go figure) I can see how that would bur...

Re: Rochambeau Musical Apparatus

Those sound nice and hot, I like it. I keep thinking about building a guitar that utilizes the single pole pickups from a Hammond tone wheel organ, but they're like 3 inches long or thereabouts so either I'd need to cut the pole-piece (I'm reluctant for obvious reasons), install them at an angle, or...

According to the original post, it doesn't exist yet, so we're all just pissing in the wind.

Re: Rochambeau Musical Apparatus

I'd put this one at 1977 based on serial number, I haven't taken it apart looking for a date stamp to confirm. I like the neck, not too slender & not too club-like, an easy transition from my strat. I'm seeing them at prices that would probably make me consider alternatives, but if you come across o...

Hate to be the yay-sayer, but it might work.
You're absolutely correct, without a spec sheet or schematic or first hand experience with the amplifier in question it is improbable we can give a definitive response.

Re: feedback loops in amp fx loop

Please note, this reply was drafted in thinking about my experiences with a particular set up, and may not be applicable to the situation at hand. If the amplifier line input you refer to is part of the preamp, then yes, signal will not reach the power amp. It should be obvious that the power amp i...

Re: New To Noise: Many questions!

There isn't one. Yesterday was the first time I ever tried to make noise music of any kind. It amounted to little more than messing around with feedback and distortion. My (unsolicited) advice is to stay at it a while before you cough something up for public consumption. Record stuff and shelve it ...
