Re: Your recent purchases:

Thoughts on scooper please? Was excited at the idea of not having to put it in my case, but then read somewhere (prob muffs) that the pitch shift doesn't affect speed?

Re: Your recent purchases:

yeah - with the Phonogene you're trading sound quality for time and getting destroyed lofi vibes. Good for the type of sounds I prefer, though I understand you're not a fan of harsh stuff. As far as capability, I know it isn't really close and the Morpha is better across the board. But sound-wise, p...

Re: Your recent purchases:

they mostly go for under $300, there was one up a few days ago for $225. One huge advantage is that on the Phonogene, varispeed controls both recording and playback speed. Morphagene always records at the same speed - varispeed controls playback, that's it.

Re: Your recent purchases:

This arrived this morning... morph.JPG At the simplest level its like a tape recorder, the centre dial plays recorded loops at various speeds, as well as backwards, the other functions which I've only touched on allow smaller chunks to be 'processed' and morphed... down to granular sizes. The sourc...

Re: Your recent purchases:

-Zoom H6 -Zoom F1 w/ boom attachment. These stupidly-expensive purchases were motivated by a neurotic un-necessity to record cats in 24/96. She died before I could get much good material, though. https://i.imgur.com/vjyOhjw.png I've been angry at the world ever since. Seriously. I fucking hate ever...

Re: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (August 2019)

I grew up with these too...bought a big collection of them in the bargain aisle at Barnes and Noble a couple years ago....the pictures hold up, all of them. In anyone else besides Del Toro's hands (major names I mean) I'd be fearing for the worst. And agreed about impact...30 years later and still c...

Re: Bad Movies

I highly doubt it, their release dates are only months apart. Bladerunner - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vangelis Liquid Sky - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brenda_Hutchinson Bladerunner was in production / writing for years before release. But I doubt it too - I guess it just hit the rise of the ...
