PS: Look into sub-bass generators. I've never tried the meatbox or any other sub-bass generators, but I have used the sub generator on the Alesis Akira. It's a cool effect in my limited experience!

I loved the ODB-3 when I had one. I used it almost exclusively as a "thickener", too. I almost never mixed in the distortion, I just adored the coloration ("thiccness", if you will) it added.
