Re: How to go about gaining recognition as a noise artist?

Don't support the scene. It's mostly a bunch of self-indulgent idiots trying to climb one another to fucking nowhere. There's not even enough of the dorks to change a lightbulb, let alone reach their own personal "Masonna on 120 Minutes" moments. Stop caring about it entirely. Go to shows, have fun,...

Re: How to go about gaining recognition as a noise artist?

Noise is like a crappy JRPG where you just keep grinding until you accrue enough exp to beat the game without developing any kind of strategy. Just keep at it until your passion inevitably dies, or you get famous. Whichever comes first.

Fucking cage nuts: Please help me

I don't know much about rack standards or cage nuts, and I'm really tired of skinning my knuckles. I have a small rack, which I've had for years. I took it apart recently to reconfigure things, only to find I'm having an impossible time getting the cage nuts I have in abundance (12-24 and 10-32 pict...

Re: LEARN HOW TO MAKE NOISE

I had a documentary-dream about a lost Beatles "noise" album once, too. My notes are contradictory, though. They describe it both as a "noise album", and as "typical 60's/70's experimental synth music". Anyway, the dream was more about the process behind the album than anything. And it was mostly Ge...

Re: Hotspots for noise artists in Portland, OR

Move to the places that all the people in Portland, Austin, Seattle, etc. were running away from. Make your own fun and get lots of ticks on your back. Just make sure you have a friend to tweeze them out. I am pretty sure I've had a tick head buried next to one of my shoulder blades for the past fif...

Re: Your recent purchases:

-Zoom H6 -Zoom F1 w/ boom attachment. These stupidly-expensive purchases were motivated by a neurotic un-necessity to record cats in 24/96. She died before I could get much good material, though. https://i.imgur.com/vjyOhjw.png I've been angry at the world ever since. Seriously. I fucking hate every...

Re: audible disease rupture rp-1

It may do better on Reverb, assuming it's open to international sellers (I haven't used it enough to know).
Also, I'd like to suggest adding it to Gearogs before you sell it, though that is entirely up to you: https://www.gearogs.com/maker/20347-audible-disease

I'm 30 and I live with my mom. I've accomplished even less than FAP. Let's do something sometime. Please. Help me out of this hole.

All my gear is caked with dust.

M8, you misunderstand me. I am not against lamps. The house lamp just caught me off guard. It didn't belong there......... Wow... Maybe I really am lampist.
