word yeah my last post wasn't intended to bitch you out or anything but it's a subject i think of a lot cos i kind of got into noise from listening to wax trax dance industrial shit, revco and detroit techno which i guess is kind of the opposite way shit tends to flow nowadays. if i ever seem angry ...

yeah and thats fine too, i think a big problem with the noise scene and scenes in general is the weight attached to someone being perceived as "selling out"... who gives a fuck if joe schmoe makes some noise shit for six months then buys volcas and fucks off? i think we all do this cos we want to an...

yeah i definitely think that through pharmakon being on a fairly hip label noise has kind of breached the surface of the underground again and for the next six months there'll be a lot of mainstream interest and new faces for the old timers to be salty with. some will stick around, most wont. eventu...

yeah i have both the ms20 mini and the bass station II and they both sound great my only gripe with the ms20 mini is that it's input/output jacks and patchbay are made of fucking cheese. i have to get mine repaired after only like 6 months cos the output jack is all fucked up and i'm not really some...

i personally prefer to run into a PA over a bass or guitar amp but a 75 watt bass amp will likely do you just fine for playing around the house and small shows.

pick up something cheap then if you ever feel limited by your gear get new gear.

the pretty shit in the background is probably guitar and some sort of synth cos those seemed to be that dude's main instrument when i saw him play live in SF a couple years ago. the really high resonant peaks are probably some sort of filter that has been overloaded and distorted to holy hell. i als...

off the top of my head in that pricerange: korg poly 800 or the ex 800 rackmount version should be get-able with a little luck for around 250 and sounds awesome. korg ms 2000 usually goes for 250 and is a great synth. arturia microbrute not sure what the situation is down under but i got my microsam...

like i said if you absolutely must have it in pedal form get a pedal. for myself i dont mind using plug-ins for effects like bitcrushers and waveshapers cos those are are inherently digital FX anyway. if the lack of tactile knobs is the only drawback you could just consider buying a bank of midi kno...
