Re: Building Noise Instruments

Screeching feedback is exactly what I want with this. I do have a bass guitar, but it won't have that high-pitched screeching feedback to it. Plus it's a decent instrument that I wouldn't want to abuse, something that this device is going to need to handle a lot of. So get on craigslist, gumtree, w...

Re: Building Noise Instruments

Even with low gain, a contact mic generally feeds back like a mofo.

They have these things called basses, and they do make a good basis for low frequency noise machines

Re: COntact mics

Field recordings with a contact mic? If you are recording from air, a moderate priced condenser might work for you. If you are actually in contact mic land, you might want to play with a piezo strip, rather than a piezo disk, and see if it works better for your needs. https://www.cbgitty.com/search....

Made this for the drummer, 90% dollar store parts. Piezo is from a little window alarm, box from the craft section, spring for a door stop. The jack probably costs more than the rest of it. He wants to use it with a bunch of delay and reverb stuff.

Harsh noise can't be surreal, it's an irritant.

so maybe I've find another reverb? is there any recommendation ?
You can DIY (Do It Yourself) / make a Spring Reverb, if you have a spring and some old bits and bobs. Perhaps there is a DIY in your language if you just search for it?

Re: (Questions) Gears for PE / Industrial / Drone / Dark-Ambient

Ignoring all the arguing, I'd second having some reverb and delay pedal at hand.

And maybe some modulation, something that can swoosh like a phaser or flanger.

Doesn't need to be fancy, I have some Danelectro and Rockteck stuff and a couple of old Ibanez rack delays.

Flat bottom wok

Fry up Pepper / Onion mix in oil on Med-Hi 'til soft
Add the bottle of sauce
Fill bottle with water, shake, add water
Add TVP chunks, turn heat down to Lo until they cook
