Someone on Soulseek asked me to pass this along to you fine folks, so here it is:

A COMPILATION FOR SP RECORDINGS.
'CASTRATION' compilation guidelines:
-Power electronics, experimental noise, death industrial, HNW, and field recordings.
-Track must be LESS THAN 10 minutes.
-Highest bitrate possible.
-Male or female castration is the theme, literal or figurative, mental or physical, ritual or chemical, and so on...
-This is will be released on lightscribed CDRs, and we have 300 CDRs total we are choosing to work with. It will most likely be limited to a 4 audio disc set, with a data disc containing the entire net release, which will also be released on SPNet.

Shaun and I are still bantering about packaging, but it will be modest and it will involve my blood.

DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 30th, 2012.

Contact me (Alexander Bianco) on facebook for any questions.

EMAIL THE TRACKS TO ME AT gegendiehaut@gmail.com OR you can use wetransfer.com to send the larger files.

85 artists, 4 discs... that's about 21-22 artists per disc, an average of three, maybe four minutes per artist. I doubt this guy needs many more.

what's your point?

I just told him I'd post it for him, jeez. It's not like I'm reporting back to him with status updates on what FireAlarmPoet thinks about all this. :/

Furthermore, those are the submissions. It doesn't say anywhere that they will all be included, just that those are the contributors so far. Who makes it on a compilation is kind of up to the compiler's discretion...

You don't have to submit anything, you know...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you don't care, then why defend it?

Also, I predict a pigdurt-size disaster.

My whole point is that there's nothing to defend.

I don't represent the guy, I am merely a messenger.
He's not likely to even see this thread, so discussion beyond "dude, soundz rad, I AM SEW IN!!!" is sort of pointless/not worth the effort.

I might be submitting something myself, who knows?

I can usually muster up the give-a-fuck to record at least a compilation track, plus it seems like a really interesting/personally relevant theme, especially with how open-ended it is.

All I'm saying is, if you don't care to submit something, what's the point of getting into a non-discussion about it?
