in the not too distant future that will probably never come,
a laboratory working on gravity reduction coils will invent,
by accident, a time machine. a portal will open and no one
will know what it is. they speculate that it could be a wormhole
and almost immediately, seeking scientific immortality, a young
scientist jumps through, and disappears...

...when he arrives instantly, he finds himself in a beautiful field
of wildflowers dotted with huge oaks. the weather is perfect,
sunny and warm, not a cloud in the sky. theres no one around,
no sign of civilization.as he is turning around surveying the landscape,
a man appears. he is dressed in robes like a roman emperor.
he greets the young scientist with a welcoming grin.

"what year is it, where am i..."

"you are excited from your experience... the answers to your questions will disturb you greatly...are you sure you want them right now?"

"what do you mean disturb? im the first man to travel through time! i must be famous by now! so what could be wrong? oh shit! did i go backwards?"

"no, you went forward three miliion eight hundred seventy-one thousand four hundred sixty-two years. but the moment you entered that portal, you caused a vibration, an unnatural vibration... it was heard by an alien race... the whole time... it was very painful...

this is what happened when they arrived on earth the day after you left...

Many creatures inhabit the Darkness behind the stars. There are beings of wondrous beauty. And some of ghastly horror.

Far from the milky way, from a planet with no sun, comes the MmNn. Their bodies are composed of a biological metallic alloy, part of their planet, that is a superconductor. They vibrate at extreme high frequency and are able to overcome gravity. This also renders them invisible, as light is absorbed by their bodies and "heard". This hearing of light permeates their lives. It is what we consider the five senses. The subtle variations of light intensity and color play out like a musical language and are used for communcation. By manipulation of their structure they modulate the lightsound as it passes nearby.

When our hero steps into the portal, it begins a time feedback loop. The loop grows stronger each moment until it fills the universe in an instant. The disturbance can be heard by the MnNn as a deafening wail. The sensation overloads their ability to communicate properly. It takes a powerful vibration to communicate over the noise and it becomes anger. The angry vibration overtakes them for need of communication. In their angry mode they set out to find the cause of their suffering.

The MmNn each go a different way, instantly transporting their bodies through space using quantum tunnelling. As they fill the universe, almost instantly they all hear the lone angry cry of the one who has found Earth...

ok, good luck with that.

the MmNn instantly descend on earth. without any time passing, every machine is rendered useless. every one of them turned into an angular jumble of cubist junk sculpture. they haphazardly dissected the machines and put them back together with contempt.

earth is plunged into darkness. satellites fall from the sky daily. without machines society collapses, billions die. humanity is perplexed to desperation. there is no explanation for what happened. superstition rages. the tower of babel is brought up. some suspect aliens, but there is no evidence of anything.

for generations, humanity struggles to survive. cities, long left behind, fall under nature. new social centers are formed and the old ways are soon forgotten. the day of destruction is forgotten. humanity rises and again embraces technology. now thousands of years later, the world again becomes machine dependent. a peaceful social order based on human capital eschews war. instead they focus on space travel and hopes of alien contact.

the MmNn went into hiding. punishing the earthlings brought them no relief. they had not stopped the noise. and they never experienced time before. now they were waiting. the universe had become their prison, endless expansion of pain. the only place to hide was near a black hole, in the event horizon. the light there was thin and rushing fast, weakening its impact. but this also meant they could not talk to each other. a solitary confinement, listening to the horrible echo just beyond.

out of time the MmNn knew there was an end to their suffering. in the future, where they already were, they could feel the end of the disturbance. as the man steps out of the anomaly the tear closes. the sound ceases. some of the MmNn try to bi-locate, leaving a part of them in time and part to live in the reunified infinite future. the split in consciousness causes the part which is left in the past to become unstable. those MmNn disperse throughout the universe. they go mad in the past, spawning a future storm.

the insane MmNn lose touch with the infinite. cut off from their future selves and unable to properly communicate, they become introverted. they drift slowly, aimlessly through space, tearing things apart and reconstructing them randomly. they don't do anything instantly anymore, instead fascinated by changes over time. they become fixated on rearranging matter, seeing all the different configurations. some of them destroy whole galaxies.

humanity reaches out to space, looking for life and answers. they spread across the solar system, on outposts and mining colonies and terraforming on mars and io. with 'maximization' life spans increase to many hundreds of years. deep space missions leave the solar system yearly, some intending to study anomalous data coming from certain galaxies. research ships travel at near light speed, taking several generations to complete their missions. research begins into 'gravity drives' for near instant transportation.

an engine that can bend space is built. when energized, it appears instantly at its target location, and also, still at the original location. when switched off, it settles in one of the locations. systems are designed to control the effect. more tests are done, devices are improved, and a craft for human transport is created. some ponder the implications of instantaneous travel. one concern is the physics, and whether the body can survive the process. others wonder about the effect of co-location on the mind. still, there is no shortage of volunteers.

the test pilot fits himself into the small compartment of the gravity ship. he straps in. the first test 'flight' is to the moon. systems are go, he ramps up power to the coil. the ship disconnects from local gravitational influence. the ship begins to 'float', but there is no sensation of movement. he sees the laboratory surroundings slightly dissipate, superimposed with a view of dark black space and the surface of the moon. he realizes his target position is just above the surface of the moon. he adjusts the projected location until the ship is level with the ground. then switches off. the lab disappears, the blackness of space solidifies as does the surface of the moon. in a puff of dust, the ship settles into the surface. he calls to earth, only half joking, "am I still there?".

all over the universe, the insane MmNn start hearing loud clicks or pops. the sound is only just noticeable over the background wail they have become familiar with. but the clicks become more frequent, and begin bunching together to form a buzzing. once again, driven by irritated curiosity, one by one, they begin to seek out the source. the insane MmNn begin a slow migration towards earth.

"recon mission GAMMA 1-13 THETA 33.4. company Orenas Six Five. pilot WDLS YELLOW CLASS FULL"

"WDLS true. G 1-13 T 33.4 laser lock, standard delay- 124599837 seconds, recording now… "
"target achieved. "

"negative classes. no habitation zone."
"moving to secondary target."

"target achieved, there is something here."
"the… there is… a planet… "

"it keeps relocating. it changes shape constantly, instantly, it's amazing!"

"now it's falling apart into little pieces. it's blowing away like dust."
"what… something is wrong

"WDLS true. G 1-13 T 33.4 laser lock lost. WDLS true… WDLS?..."

the lone MmNn is drawn in by the laser. using it to navigate. the focused light awakens it's sense of movement, accelerating it towards earth.

"Orenas reports unclassified communication. laser reflections suggests incoming mass, otherwise unidentified."

"if this is hostile contact, we have to evac Orenas."

"impossible. Orenas is our eyes on the horizon. nobody goes anywhere."
"put out some drones, one every light year for a hundred years."
"and fire up the maglev generators… fill all the tubes with scrap."

you can hack them together in photophop with some creative filters anymore
eye should have" comicraft" fonts/bubbles buried somewhere around here

I think my dreams are more interesting than my reality, or at least more interesting than the mundane things I can describe. There's a whole 'nother "spiritual" (for lack of a better word) waking experience I can't "really" describe. The moon and moonlight play a big part in it. It's an indescribable emotion/nostalgia/dream-based, experientially-exclusive gabrage-pop-epistemology that I can only externalize with images and sounds. But, EVEN THEN, I can't honestly expect the images and sounds to have the same effect for other people, so it's useless to try to seriously express these things with that intention. :D Maybe if I knew more adjectives, and how to string them together. I'm sure it's possible to string enough words together to satisfy me, but I havern't got them.

Long story short, my involvement in anything would be fruitless.

this is right, dreams are future reality, a template

yeah, but can you dance around it, tell us how it affects the world? sometimes bullshit becomes knowledge, you know everything, remember what you want
