what? what kind of recipe is that?
here:
INGREDIENTS:
(grain)
7 lbs of pale malted barley
.05 lb of crystal malt
.05 lb roasted barley
(hops)
1oz galena hops
2oz cascade hops
(yeast)
1 pkg wyeast american ale yeast
DIRECTIONS:
grind all grains to course granules and set in a fine mesh back in a large insulated cooler.
heat about 3 gals of water to 150F, add to grains in cooler, stir to break up any clumps and cover.
hold grains and water at 150F for about 1 hour.
drain liquid from cooler into a large stock pot. Pour more water over the grains in the cooler, stir, drain liquid into same large stock pot.
add galena hops to this liquid, boil for approx 1 hour.
roughly 10 mins before end of boil, add cascade hops.
when boil is done, set pot in an ice bath to cool down; cool the liquid in the pot to roughly 70F.
pour contents of yeast package into a large (5 gal) sanitized fermentation vessel.
pour liquid into fermentation vessel, stir vigourously to aerate the mixture.
fix fermentation lock onto fermentation vessel.
wait 4 weeks.
remove liquid from fermentation vessel into another clean and sterile container, straining out any sediment. add 3/4 or so cups of corn sugar to this new container, and stir vigorously.
now remove this liquid into bottles.
cap the bottles, and wait roughly 7 days.
I've no idea really what sort of beer this will produce, as i just sorta threw the recipe together randomly, but it will produce a decent beer.

I fucking hate beer. Any alcohol but whiskey just tastes horrible to me, in a way that's hard to describe.
