Selections from KMFDM's album, Money... Mostly because my CD is in too shit of condition to actually rip ALL the tracks, but also because there were only a few songs I actually wanted to hear.

I hate scuffed and scratched CD's... SHOULD THEY STAY OR SHOULD THEY GO?! AGHHH!!! I can't bring myself to throw out CD's/tapes/records unless I am so hateful or indifferent towards the contents that I willfully destroy or mangle them [FOR THE NOISE!] beforehand... Hate it.

Yeah. 8)

Glad I am not alone here in being a Sparks fanboy. I still can't get into Xiu Xiu, though, haha.

Lou Reed - Metal Machine Music

I have and will continue to go on record to say I think Lulu is one of the most hilarious, bizarrely brilliant albums ever made, so I think it only natural I finally give Lulu's notorious predecessor a spin once and for all. The first few minutes are great, then after a while the effect starts to wear off. All four tracks sort of blend together, just varying the structure of essentially the same sounds for over an hour. It's not bad, and while it's a good starting point for those new to noise, it's amateur by today's standards and a full play-through is not recommended.

I've decided to listen to my entire tape collection starting today, ending whenever it becomes impractical. Over 100 tapes, A-Z, no skips unless it's something I've heard within let's say a week or so; if it's in my car or there just a few days ago, it's not counted, since a car tape tends to be played to death until I switch off to something else. Also, demos or works in progress from me, the raw tapes of my own projects, and my own personal notes don't count.

AC/DC - Back in Black & Who Made Who

Doubling them up since they're close. Was never much into ac/dc but I can't deny their tunes are classics. Back in Black sounds like a greatest hits album, and probably is. Nothing really to say about it: just a short & sweet compilation of some good tunes. Who Made Who has a lot more filler, though understandably so considering it was made as a film soundtrack. There's this one bluesy(?) rock track that's almost too corny to like, but it was an interesting detour that I enjoyed.

All The Best From Africa

A pretty strange little tape I must've picked up from a half price books or something. Basically what you think it is, a bunch of tribal chants and shit. No artists or even the tribe(s?) is listed; half the track titles sound like the world music equivalent to shitty alternate titles to low budget exploitation movies ("High Priest," "Drums of Passion,"Witch Doctor"). One track is even called "White Zombie" which I find quite amusing. I'm sure half of this stuff is made up, since it was manufactured in fucking Canada and distributed by Madacy Inc, a company who's halloween sfx albums sound suspiciously similar to others outside of this company. Anyways, I really liked it when I got it, though now it's jsut sort of okay. At worst, it's too long.
