Daydreaming

A new study, published in Psychological Science by researchers from the University of Wisconsin and the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Science, suggests that a wandering mind correlates with higher degrees of what is referred to as working memory. Cognitive scientists define this type of memory as the brain’s ability to retain and recall information in the face of distractions.

Good to see you are citing main stream science academics and not pseudo science. :wtg:

The Peer Review Process for Scientific Publications: Trouble in Paradise?

SEPTEMBER 4, 2014
AUTHOR: DR. JOSEPH PERRONE
CATEGORIES: RETRACTIONS, SCIENTIFIC FRAUD

In February 2014, Nature Magazine published a report stating that between 2008 and 2013 more than 120 peered reviewed journal articles were retracted after scientists discovered that they were actually computer generated articles. Amazingly, this was not the first instance—Nature reported in 2005 that a major computer conference was fooled into accepting a paper that was generated by computer. These articles should have been through the peer review process, but what happened?
This Study Just Revealed Why The Peer-Review Process Is in So Much Trouble
Only 1 in 5 scientists are doing the work.

In recent years, scientists have been warning us about a reproducibility crisis in science, which has seen many seminal papers - particularly in psychology - failing to hold up when an independent team tries to reproduce the results.

Peer-review also appears to be losing its lustre, with studies finding little evidence that it actually even works, and now a new investigation has revealed that just 20 percent of working scientists are responsible for as much as 94 percent of the work.

Again well done. Citing main stream science which is self critical and exposes fraud - unlike pseudo science.

only those without scientific ability are qualified to pronounce pseudo science ;)

Actually my mistake - that last quote is from https://www.sciencealert.com/

Who are?
But we do need to peer-review the peer-review process.
"An evidence-based approach to study peer-review, combining computer modelling, experimental studies, and sharing of data from journals and publishers, should be encouraged," they conclude in the journal PLoS ONE.
"Improvements in peer-review will come in response to evidence."

well done - youve quoted yourself quoting part of an edited by you pop sci website which also talks of black holes and anti matter.

You trimed a part sentence from an article which concludes otherwise.

"Hitler was kind to his dog."

"Hitler was kind"

And you point. Main stream science has problems with peer reviews which are there to monitor the veracity of its work.

Solution- do what the Electric Universe guys do and have none.

Murder rates high - legalize murder - no more of that crime. Do the same for all laws. @sorted.
