Yeah, I kinda figured that. I do find it interesting how they take a complex arrangement of many notes and break it down into a much simpler series of button presses. Especially evident when soloing, It reminds me of the old Reader's Digest Condensed Books, but for music. Basically it seems to be more about keeping time/rythm than anything (so it makes sense why the drums would be more accurate I think) Soloing seems to hit on the most emphasized notes, or like, just the beginning note of each phrase? in the solo. Idk, it's just interesting to me to think about how they broke all these songs down into parts to be triggered by pressing 4 buttons, in a way that feels "right" (to a non-musician at least) Then again, I guess its not so much different than dancing.
