Time for an upgrade

I'm to a point where I've solved the problems I've been encountering with upgrading this forum and I'm getting close to actually doing it!

It's about frikkin' time... This board has been up since June of 2005. The board software is buggy as hell. Private message don't work, posts get errors, etc. etc...

Also, I'm glad to report that for the past 2 days this forum is on (much) upgraded hardware. So far so good.

So... expect some changes. I'll try to keep the same look and feel... I know how you guys hate change...

One suggestion for the back gears style, assuming you can change it:

on the main page, sections with new threads show a yellow star on the folder icons, but inside each of the sub-forums, the threads with new posts are indicated with a grey star.

Can that grey star icon be made yellow? It's a lot easier to see them that way since I'm blind.

Well, I said that because this IS a noise forum and besides, redundancy is an issue on ALL forums so big fucking deal.

Also, reading about noise equipment is far more interesting than listening to a bunch of fucking nerds pontificating about pseudo-intellectual bullshit in an effort to appear "deep".

Blathering about "the meaning of noise" or some stupid bullshit about "people acting aggressive because they are into noise" or whatever dumb shit that people want to phrase it as.
