Yet another edgy post with zero substance
Nice try, but no cigar (Get it? Cigars are phallic symbols). I have a desktop that's perfectly adequate for that sort of thing. What do you like to jerk off to? I'm into big shooters.

fuck yeah, heres how we do in orygun...
Speaking of big shooters... That's a gnarly flag, red.

I've been thinking, I need to get one of my crazy gun nut relatives to teach me how to use some of his guns. Maybe he'd even sell me a gun or six. Honestly, my biggest fear about gun ownership has always been how liable I could be to turn a gun on myself. I'm still afraid I could do that. A gun just makes vaporizing your brain so damn easy. Still, having one will be very practical if ever do end up living in rural Mississippi again. I will have to have something to keep the speed freaks, biker gangs, sex offenders, neo-Nazis/Klansmen and Juggalos at bay (there's a lot of overlap between all of these groups). Shooting cans and bottles is pretty fun, too.

energy is what you make of it, i never carried a weapon growing up even though i lived in the worst of conditions, your force of will can control any situation

"many a time i pass by the bad boy guns,
by the power of Jah they never shoot i down"

i bought my first gun at age 41, a Marlin lever action 30-30, cowboy gun, just for the livestock protection, not really a defensive weapon, makes the wife feel better about the coyotes and big cats we have

i inherited some others along the way, not really a gun nut in the typical sense, but i can shoot the eyes out of a squirrel at 100yds, could be a handy skill if needed

i grew up in a shooting community, never really cared about guns, never went hunting, only shot beer cans, i would rather talk to an animal than kill it, but learning how to shoot from the old guys was a lot of fun

i only target shoot at present, i like the challenge, recently i have been scouting places where i can get a 1000yd+ shot, the ultimate take down

defintely hit up your relatives, they might remember you when they die, and if you dont like their guns, you can sell them and buy moar gear

I've grown up around guns much of my early life as well, but never had any interest in them until about a year or so ago. Can't say I'm really a gun nut either (not even close), but they seem practical. Admittedly, there is also a "peace of mind" factor with them for me. I'm not into trying to seem macho or intimidating (with or without firearms), but I still feel safer knowing I can defend myself with a firearm as an absolute last resort.

Mainly, though, I am simply becoming more and more disillusioned with the life I've been living the past 15+ years. I feel like I've been in a kind of stasis for a lot of that time. I feel like I haven't progressed in part because I'm out of my element. I don't fit into or function well in society. I grew up with a fairly secluded rural lifestyle during my early years, and that's what makes sense to me. I can't pretend I'm some misanthropic hermit-wizard survivalist wolfman or anything. I am most definitely not. But rural living is still something I understand at the core of my being. I don't understand hectic, busy urban society, and I've become increasingly soured on its convenience culture and the idea of compromising serenity for instant gratification. More importantly, I'm just not cut out for it. I'm not brash or ambitious enough to sustain that kind of lifestyle independently. I cracked under the pressure of societal expectations in fucking middle school. Rural seclusion just seems easier.

Long story short: Yes, knowing how to use a firearm is a very practical skill to have if needed. And I'm far more likely to need that skill in the country than in the suburbs or the city. I never "needed" to know how to use guns as a kid, but I'm not a kid anymore.

Anyway, here's another old picture I found on that laptop I was fixing up. You can see me passed out on the couch after an apparent Cheerios bender:
