I was ready to say something unflattering about his reviews (RIP), but, afters seeing this, I am inclined to give him another chance. Even if I did liked most (or every) movie on this list when I watched (perhaps all in my teens...) his views seems to me extremely reasonable and inteligent. Nowadays I think my opinion on most of it would be fairly close to his.

I don't think I disagree with his analysis so much as the overall score he gives. But then again maybe where he ranks some of these films is relative to the directors other works. Still I would find almost any of these films worth watching again.
