Re-Animator

Post by Nanohex » Sat Oct 28, 2006 6:37 am

I love the Re-Animator trilogy and I can't wait the 4th movie to be released in 2008.

One of the best horror movies ever, and of course one of my favorites. :)
Any fans of Re-Animator here?

First one is really superb, genuinely classic film... second is fun tho not really as good, great fx and gore tho... 'Beyond Reanimator' is pretty terrrible bar a few good moments and the fact that it's really almost a fan-film...

Just seen the first one and Bride-Of.
Jeffrey Combs is the man!

Herbert West: Who's going to believe a talking head? Get a job in a sideshow.

Okay, this is the place to post this, and maybe you all know this already, but I've seen two versions of Reanimator. Mind you, it's been about 16 years since I've seen it, so I'm going off of a distant memory.

But, has anyone else seen both? I can describe the differences if necesary, but I'm not going to bother now in case I'm saying something everybody else knows about.

I just like "Herbert West - The Reanimator" by H. P. Lovecraft...
The movies are crap.

stuart gordon made another movie called "king of the ants" that's pretty terrible but the soundtrack is fucking amazing!

LOVED the first, thought the second was a better than average horror sequel (which isn't saying too much). beyond reanimator was pretty poor. but at least it had this awsomely bad video to go with it.

The 4th is called "house of reanimator" I here the story will be based around the white house using herbert west to reanimate a high profile politician. Sounds iffy. At least stuart gordon's back @ the helm as I believe he had nothing to do with the third. I'll rent it.

I'm really only a fan of the first. I like "from beyond" though. Stuart gordon + h.p. Lovecraft = gory goodness
There's definetely something wrong with me just don't know what.

Shit, there's a THIRD one?? I really need to catch back up on my re-animator stuff!

Side note: did you see "the Pit and the Pendulum", and the H.P. Lovecraft stuff?

Also; blew my fucking mind when I realised that Weyoun (DS9) was Dr Herbert West!!

Long live Jeffrey Combs!!!
