Been working on a lot recently - tonight I finally threw together a voltage regular for speed control on my Tascam.

So, here's a 4 track with an extra knob...

Tomorrow I plan on cutting out the side to allow for reel to reel style loops.

Just finished my first contact mic. Bought the piezo pickup and put into a adsl splitter enclosure and glued the piezo to a steel sheet to extend the pickup area and maintain the metallic dynamics of the sound.

What is the thickness of the steel sheet? I'm working on a new enclosure for my matrix mixer and want to build something more compact, mine's fucking huge.

The mild steel is 22 gauge, not something I'd want to stand on but seems solid enough for table top. Use a 12" press brake like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-Inch-Shear-B ... 1040906584 for my bends (but I wouldn't want to pay that price for the tool).

Time will tell as to how weak I make it through drilling, wouldn't want to go lighter than 22 ga., but I had a sheet on hand.

A metal mixing bowl and shitty $5 cymbal. they sound sick played live (a little bit of noise + percussion action) or especially sampled.

Trashy and metallic.

Oh, thanks!
Went to the studio with a few mates today and during the rehearsal I tought that the mic broke, but it was just the sound that was too loud and i couldn't listen to the contact mic. I used the mic connected to a RAT as a guitar pick and an untuned guitar without the E string connected to a shitty Zoom 505 and the whole thing connected to a matrix mixer, that i also posted here previously. At the end, the strings were polished due the friction of the mic on the strings. Truly rad.

I shit you not: this does work.

Maybe not for recording music, of course.
Still, interesting loops can be made from such simple materials
(use any glossy cardboard that's no mroe than maybe two millimeters thick).

This is only the second one I've made,
the former beign a 12-inch variant.
Thinking of using it for a HNW side-project.
Still digging this one. +10 for a limited RSD 2016 release. Do it.
A brilliant example of DIY.

Nice ... bringing the Bad Boy Bubby to noise. Rolf de Heer would be proud.
Big Pete wants a woman. Extortion experience preferred, but not necessary ...

Noise source. I should have a demo up of the refined circuit by tomorrow, I'll announce the run once you can hear it.
