I traded a duck some bread for an Alesis Ineko this past Saturday:

It's nice having the option to stack effects with my Akira now.
I have several of these and use them the reg.. just wish they'd remember which preset they were on between power cycles.

xdugef and I talked shit about you behind your back
Who, me? Was it something about me being an unreliable flake or a pathetic loser? Probably true. Thanks, though.

Yeah, that, plus the fact that you can't adjust the input, output and mix levels on the front as you can on the Akira are the only big drawbacks. But I knew this going in.

My TC electronics Dark Matter distortion pedal died randomly and I suck with electronics and couldn't figure out how to fix it. Might tinker with it some day or part exchange it a a local music store and they can sort it out.

So as a cheap replacement I picked up a Valeton Darktale for about £30 and it does what I need it to.

For my next purchase I want to pick up one of those spring reverb devices such as this

...and since I have a large resource of springs and different metals / materials through work, I can have some good fun experimenting.

That's a pretty wacky pedal. I've only seen stuff like that from DIY peeps.

Given that the springs look bolted to the box, that's not gonna do much. :eew:
I think trying to quantify music is one of the biggest wastes of time in the world, like discussing your favourite colour or deity or pizza topping. People should realise that and get on with their life.

The whole unit is resonant, you can also use it as an external mic. Scream at your springs!

You can unbolt and switch them for other things As I plan to do.

It's a box with springs on it and a piezo inside, just make one for 10 bucks.

Yeah, that seems kinda bullshit to me. I'd build it, if I wanted it, pay no more than 20 quid for it.

A reverb would have the springs free to oscillate and connected to a transducer of some kind at both ends. Nic Collins did a nice article on easy DIY ones.

You can get a spring a couple of little speakers and a cork and hook, and glue

Yeah and it might also need to have an input jack
