Thank you for those details. I'll try my boss 10 band equalizer to attenuate the resonant frequency of the room. If doesn't work I'll also try to play in a bigger room and experiment with speaker placement.

I will let you know the results.

Problem solved!

I didn't even need intense EQing. I just removed my hybrid auto-wah from the chain. It's an EHX worm and apparently it emphasized a relatively high frequency creating very high pitched feedback when the frequency of the filter was set to minimum (when the effect is supposed to be deactivated) and prevented the pitch to erratically move when the resonance was set around higher values.

So I don't recommend using this pedal unless you don't mind very high pitch sound and modulating feedback manually. If you want a nice, round feedback sound and a wah, try something else.

I still reckon that a preamp is necessary to allow lower frequency to pass through with standard contact mic, but you don't need it if you use a Electro-faustus Blackfly.
