I am looking out for model vehicle / railway sound FX circuits tho a lot of them are crazy expensive and modern ones are boringly just some digital mp3 player things

Built the PT2399 thing, works well, pics soon. Need to drill the faceplate, my local DIY store sells strips of aluminium perfectly 4hp wide, easy to saw up into 3u pieces :)

Thanks jliat gonna try these + make some bootleg poor mans' Radio Music module :D

If you or anyone is interested in another way of making loops I've been playing with these..

As you can see they are cheap, and will play looped stuff from a Micro Sd card. So you could in effect build a sampler with a few of these for well under $20.00. They can be powered from USB...

pt2399 before + after. Still need to make a faceplate but it's working well. Other people online who've modified this have left out the line in (it's just a clean input that doesn't go thru the delay) but I kept it, because the more ins + outs on anything the better for my purposes.

Cheesy sounding echo/reverb. http://www.synthanatomy.com/2018/04/diy ... ss-15.html

Intentionally didn't mod it much, i have several other circuitbent PT2399-based things already for more extreme sounds and i like the altered-readymade aesthetic, but if you replace the resistors controlling delay speed and feedback amount on these chips you can get some great low-bitrate chaos happening.
