I think trying to quantify music is one of the biggest wastes of time in the world, like discussing your favourite colour or deity or pizza topping. People should realise that and get on with their life.

If you forget about internet noise scene instrument meme 'shaker box' and just actually think about and experiment with the sonic possibilities of ' piezoelectric element used as the input of amplifiers and effects units' and 'hollow wooden objects and their resonance' and ' small objects moving around inside the latter' you will do well tho.

Wood can have excellent sonic properties.

It can also sound terrible.

Same goes for rubber and steel, live a little.

I had an idea once to create an album using only wood and wood instruments, without by processing or effects, so in essence it'd be a hnw of trees falling, lumber work, clackers etc.

The cover would be a defaced copy of one of The Carpenters' LPs
