just put a bunch of small metal things over the strings, and use a distortion
hahah
like, i made a little noise guitar thing, just a piece of wood wth old broken bass strings attached to it, around the strings i bent some tin over it, it made great noise
just use tin foil, fire, tin, springs, paper clips, shit, piss
or better yet, attach a tin plate to the strings, contact mic the plate, and make an input in the guitar that goes through the volume pots and shit to the output of the guitar. hahah you could put it in a feedback loop if you added an input!

check this video
it will give you some ideas

Korg x911 can me "misused & abused" exploiting the CV to pitch
then also take cv pitch/gate out of X911 into MS20 for added fun
have habit of doing that with bass tracks
you can get some awesome results inputting X911 with other source signals
Guess it sort of counts as a "Pedal"
otherwise have used empty metal cans of HAPI wasabi peas as slide on Guitar

there's also always the old original Ebow trick
even though this is all sort of off topic
Image
had an explorer guitar made by Cort called the "Effector"
with super shitty built in effects
such a concept can be evolved/modified
building noise FX pedals into your guitar if so inclined
(BTW use a cheap guitar)
you can also misuse pickups in a multitude of ways(magnetic fields)

use an old guitar neck/bridge for making your own "Apprehension Engine"
hmmm perfect use for an old busted up cheap crappy guitar if the neck is good
does that count as "Guitar Modification?"

The Effector looks ill dude....reminds me of the old Soviet era axes with 30 switches on them. What's this old/original ebow trick? X911 been on my list forever....killer deals on them always seem to come up when I've already shot my load for the month.

Boring guitar demos ('cause boring guitar people are) nonetheless.

Yeah, Muse, sue me hardass.

Old farts (the tough, ass kickin' ones at least) from blues used switchblades as slides, or so I heard.

Page Hamilton from Helmet (sue me pt. II) said that he learned a lot with Caspar Brotzmann (son of the other dude, yeah), things like leaving the backplate open so you can scratch the strings/springs and so. Buried here:

Also he says something about stripping the guts to leave only the volume knob (even taking out the single coil I guess, since that's for pussies) which was mind blowing to me.

I am writting too much like the last guy?

Kisses.
