QED the initial post.

FAP I know this will be like beating myself in the head with a 22oz framing hammer, but please approach this thread seriously. You just might learn something.

I have been so far.

But come on man, who the fuck hasn't used a radio before to make noise? I think I can speak for the majority when I say we've exhausted the possibilities of that device sans-effects.

It'd be better if we had some samples and, well, I'm too preoccupied to do so myself at the moment, but more pics that don't come from your photobuket account.

BTW, this one of yours still makes me question reality:

In the history of all histories, this passage applies to no one more than FAP.

Horatio:
O day and night, but this is wondrous strange!
Hamlet:
And therefore as a stranger give it welcome.
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy

FAP, questioning reality is your dilemma. I learned to splice tape in 1978. It is a skill like any other. Attitude and aptitude go a long, long way when assembling a big ol' box 'o' skills. Some of us learned these things because there wasn't this great big Information Super Highway spilling over into every aspect of life. We had to ask, go to the library or watch our neighbor welding, we tore EVERYTHING apart, we built shit……… Do it. Do not do it. Those were the choices and if we did it, we did it our way. A bastardly crafted thing is a thing of beauty. Especially when done well.
I know the guy responsible for this……
Image
He applied himself and learned. He happens to be a shipwright and a bikesmith.

Some of us actually do things and have the results to show for it.
Whether or not I record any of it matters not. I do this stuff for my benefit.

But…………….
Heaven forbid someone use a radio as a radio.
Clutch the pearls!!!!
Someone enjoys listening to radio static and in the dirt modulation signals.

Reminds me of when I lived in PDX, I'd tune the radio to an off AM band while driving along the electric train tracks. Fucking glorious, and certainly one for the Eric Dolphy quote.

I do miss that though, and wish I had recorded it, knowing full well it wouldn't be the same experience..

I will continue to harass you, MKULTRA, to cough up some audio. Not because of some misplaced sense of needing proof, but because some of that shit just looks tasty.

Not only projecting, but giving yourself way too much credit...

I can't even begin to make sense of this, and I'm not going to try (or ask).

It makes a "pew-pew!" sound. I think I ripped the jacks out for something else recently.

I used to record EVERYTHING on that fucker... and use the radio in it! I used it until the record function quit working. So much terrible Saturday night Noisecore dubbed on that boombox. :)
Still recycling its pots through a variety of different projects (I often end up re-re-re-using parts I am too cheap to buy! :) )

OMG, so much gear I don't have anymore, haha! :O

YO, I had this idea 4ever ago! 8)

Also, here's some guy I went to school with, just because it's in PB for some reason:

And before anyone asks:
- the voice changer was used in various MLF recordings in the latter half of 2011.
- I know for a fact the cardboard disc was used in MLF's "Invertigative Re Yacky" but the link is currently down; will consider uploading to archive.org if there's any interest.
- the walkman... thing has it's own file called something like "thingamajig demo" but it's since been lost as far as I can tell.

tl;dr mediafire thinks I upload porn so alot of my stuff is now broken links.

I got more pics of stuff I sold/gave away but for now the epic struggle against a classic wisconsin blizzard takes precedence over digging through my external hard drive to prove a point to someone who probably doesn't carei n the first place.

No clue who's this is, but I got it off either this forum or chondritics. Just a beautiful piece of kit. Nice and clean but still look dangerous. I'd like to make one at some point.
