If it was a Behringer I'd say a few months to less than a year

How much beer is spilled on it might factor in as well.
I have no suggestion for software.

Don't forget they own Digitech and DOD now
I think trying to quantify music is one of the biggest wastes of time in the world, like discussing your favourite colour or deity or pizza topping. People should realise that and get on with their life.

@ Misomusist any tips on any terms/ keywords that I might not have thought of for searching for things like these? They seem to have all sorts of different names, zone mixer, headphone mixer, monitor mixer etc..

I'd use matrix mixer or monitor mixer, but there's not many people make 'em new, or are you checking on gumtree?

We referred to the old one in the venue as the kelvinator, and for the life of me, I can't remember who actually made it now.

Yeah looking on ebay/etc..

thanks, just thought there might be some other technical term for them I'd missed :)

These JamHub things are another commercially avaliable matrix mixer tho not so cheap and also out of production now so unlikely to get any cheaper/easier to find :( http://www.jamhub.com/

also the Roland HS-5 is a similar headphone matrix mixer but like £600 too

Peavey / Crest Audio X series seem a little more affordable than the Allen & Heath + Hear Technologies stuff, saw one on ebay buy it now for $700ish :-/

Prob should just get back to building my own instead of looking at overkill commercial ones which i couldn't justify unless I got some absurd funded art show or something ha

Today made one of those mediocre soundlab "stereo" mini mixers into a 4 input 2 output matrix by simply soldering wires between the left and right inputs of each channel

This thread is quite big so apologies if i've missed it, but this chap sells various size matrix mixers all at reasonable prices, plus some drone synths and stuff.

note:- only got a 3x2 mixer showing at present
