Yeah pulled the wire off, and went with the casper mod instead. Sounds about the same, without the oscillation when no signal present.

So if you want it to squeal all the time, regardless of whether there is a signal or not, go with the wire.

If you want it to just be on when there's a signal, use the transistor.

Side note: the transistor will fit on the solder side of the board, if you don't mind a bump in your cover, or if you plan to leave the cover off. At some point I suppose I'll fit it on the other side. :chin:
I think trying to quantify music is one of the biggest wastes of time in the world, like discussing your favourite colour or deity or pizza topping. People should realise that and get on with their life.

I spent a couple of years modding DS-1s for people when I lived in Limerick City to do all sorts of crazy shit, I'll have a root around my papers tomorrow and see if I can find the mods I did.

I had gotten two, in different trades, and I lent one to a mate, and so I just asked for it back again.

For $40 these things are shitty, shitty, shitty.
I think trying to quantify music is one of the biggest wastes of time in the world, like discussing your favourite colour or deity or pizza topping. People should realise that and get on with their life.

Not gear but I dreamed I'd joined a reunited The Monkees for a comeback tour. We were deciding which 5 songs to play
