Started creating The V.S.R. "Trioxin" CloudMaker today
specifically for this comp
Eye wanted drastically longer custom ranges with multipliers on grain size & rate parameters
up to 20 seconds on rate & 10 seconds on size
plus completely redesigned how the freeze/hold feature extracts 100ms samples from input
have some other functions that need adding
yet got the core engine constructed now
will make multiple revisions yet giving you first functional prototype

i found some granulators for android, could do it on my phone!

i like the dual release idea, tracks less than ten minutes would be good for cassette but for web release it could be longer

watched these videos again as reference for creating TRIOXIN
plus went through the specs for Mutable Clouds
hmmm need adding some envelopes
pus get the exact size of the Audio Buffer
currently have it at 100ms
yet should be 1&2sec-4sec
hmmm revision/evolution time

web comp has obviously no time limit
make as many tracks as possible... no limit....
have an old method of at least 3 to 1 ratio when creating "stock" for projects
the we can select the best for tape releases
experiment.... explore... record... creating
have some fun

sounds like pigs on the way to the slaughter house

TRIOXIN CloudMaker new revision:
Changed the entire timing structure for extracting buffer grains
added slew type glide for rate & size parameters
added completely rebuilt random variable method
added Variable random Seed & Range
removed LFO waveforms
BPM sync LFO for driving Randomizer
updated rar file at previous link
seems like this Version is stable enough for recording now!

first basic Demo example of TRIOXIN "CloudMaker"
you hear the input sample "245 Trioxin it's called"
that is used for realtime mutation/demolition/effect source loop
giving example of Trioxin actually now fully functional
reference fyoff experiment track testing new features
not considering this a comp track or anything
needs more work
plus actual composition

In granular synthesis, each small slice of an audio file is called a grain.

When they are combined into a new sound, they are called a cloud.

Granular synthesis is controlled by a number of parameters. The source file and the synthesis parameters contribute equally to the overall sound. Position is the place in the source audio file from which a grain is extracted. Grain duration is the duration of a single grain pulled from the audio file. Grain interval is the amount of time that elapses between the playing of each grain. Some synthesizers allow the user to set the pan, loudness, and even envelope of each individual grain.

Usually a granular synthesizer sounds better if these parameters are slightly randomized.

hmmm bet that is mountains of new inspiration
congrats on finding good granular android app
plus it's a 4 track on your phone
sort of running some basic stress tests
for making sure my theory translates for reality on BPM Randomizer Sync

started creating Granular underpainting using 245TRIOXIN for comp track
want laying analog synths with it
thinking some good old ARP Solus RingMod action
before start experimenting with hardware FX
keeping composition minimal
it's a start
didn't record any midi automation yet either
