I would imagine the same will happen when I start putting my own CDr's out - got 100 blank 3" CDr's and envelopes sat right in front of me ready for project 1.....
I wish you luck but I dare say the zine market is not nearly as saturated as the Noise CDr market
I was thinking I'll give them away with my next zine as a promo. Not expecting to sell many but if it helps me get a gig then its all good

Yeah.. I think about this alot.. the thing about tangible media is that in comparison to blog posts they have a certain higher level of permanence if you know what I mean? For example unless your website gets completely archived on archive.org if you stop paying the bills your website disappears.. but those zines you printed may be floating around for decades?

who is up for starting "NoiseGuide" zine with comp tapes?
super limited edition
just for ourselves unless it happens gaining some real trajectory/sustain
somebody ask Xome what he thinks about that concept
does that seem somewhat logical
or
pissing in the wind

I'm down.. sounds like basically similar to the tape trade except participants need to submit pages for the zine.. I'm sure Bob won't have an issue with it being branded as "noiseguide". The only issue is will one person be receiving the page design and files and dubbing them to tape and mailing them out and splitting the cost?

Start with a 32 page blank zine, post it around the world and everyone adds a bit like a noise collage.

Or
Probably cheaper / quicker
As already mentioned, everyone contribute one page to produce a master. You then don't get any cross pollination / noise between pages but seems easier. I would be willing to assemble and copy / contribute

used to play that at school. And an architectural variant whilst at university.

A zine would work best as a collaborative effort otherwise it is just a collection of individual pages.

It could be done if you say had 8 interested people, contributing a quarter page to a particular theme to create a collage of art / words. Each theme cover a double page spread of the zine.

Are there even 8 of us active here than can post for new thread on the subject?

Well ok... Point taken.

If there are 3 maybe 4 interested parties then it could be produced as a pass it along exquisite corpse zine.

An accompanying / parallel noise project collaborative effort would make it a fairly unique venture.
