who is up for starting "NoiseGuide" zine with comp tapes?
this would actually be pretty gnarly.
insecure PRETENTIOUS FUK that made noise to hide from the fact that he can't play instrument.

y'know, I think a noiseguide 'zine sounds pretty rad. I'll contribute. Maybe give me a subject to pontificate upon, or I could babble about one of my favourite subjects. Maybe I could do a bit of artwork, certainly I could put together some noise for the tape.

I'm genuinely down for a NG zine.

PS: Would be cool if Xome himself contributed something. <3

i made/make 5-20 cd-r copies mostly blank with cheap home printed cover or without in plastic sleeves and leave them at train stations, secondhand shops, music shops, my dentist waiting room, park benches, zoo, restaurants etc for people to find and experience. i giggle thinking about the people finding them but feel radical at the same time. noise is life.

we used to rent tapes from blockbuster(plus other video rental places)& record audio/video segments on them....
usually around 3 minutes length runtime "conspiracies" all later verified ummm 20+ years later
totally mindfucking random viewers
eye was addicted reading redacted FOIA documents & constantly "researching"
found 10-20 of those segments on old mac 7100 eye just re-animated
seagate baracudas
man those old ass AV drives rule
10k rpm SCSI external array
the videos are all quicktime mov files
attempting transferring them from that "ancient" Mac somehow

Guerilla Noise Promotion; a concept worth exploring.

Idea:
Car boot sale a load of my old pop / chart / club CDs from my dj days, swap discs over with my own noise projects.

I like the idea of leaving CDs in random places with just a contact email or url on.

Yeah i wanted to do the Disc swaping thing at Secondhand Shops but then saw that they check the CD before selling it... But reading Warlocks post i know what i'm doing with the Miami Vice Series OST(still sealed!) i found near a Fireplace in the Woods. The B-Side will be funny:D Ltd to 1 Copie.

QR code stickers were popular around here a while ago.
I made up some for my bandcamp with "NOISE WARNING NOISE WARNING" around them.
Got a few downloads...
Gluing (reusable glue dots) cdrs in easily seen but hard to get to places can be fun.
A Mate got hold of a load of shitty old (Sony I think...) mobile brick phones that could voice (noise, verbal abuse, random spurgs etc.) record then assign to ringtone. Hid them around town - under benches, bus stops and such - then ring up. Sort of a subliminal message experiment.

I'm all about that. In fact I think I might do some of that myself. Although, I will want to distribute noise CDs with only a URL on it but I think that would evoke a very intense reaction, and one that could be with heavy recourse. But f**k it.

I like the look of that zine. I may come up with an idea and post it here. Harsh noise with pornographic visuals is a nice touch.
