Noise radio show

Post by rickyfartin » Sun Oct 09, 2016 12:06 am

I've got a new radio show on XRAY.FM in Portland, OR. Second episode aired last night, and you can always stream the last two episodes on the website:

Hit me up with links and recommendations on what to include in futures shows.

Nice show.
You (used to) have a lot of local noise in Portland, support local noise.

Thanks for checking out the show. There's still interesting sounds coming out of here, and I'm hoping to showcase a lot more of that stuff.

Do you take submissions and if so, how do you like them?
(e.g. email, bandcamp, hard media)

Just finished the first ep. Really like the Author and Punisher track. Overall, great mix. Keep it up.

Sorry I missed your response earlier s.p.i.n. Any and all kinds of submissions are welcomed. Feel free to email at nailbattapes at gmail dot com.

Krump, thanks for checking out the show, and hopefully you didn't notice that I played that Author and Punisher record at the wrong speed for maybe the first 15 seconds of it.

New episode posted last night:

I totally didn't notice the slow part of the song, but it still sounded good.

These things expire! Any downloads or anything available?

Ha! Not sure about the Wesley Willis track, but a Striations track definitely. (This is Matt from Portland, by the way. You sent me a sick tape of Carcass bootlegs a while back.)

DonaldKrump: Yeah, each episode stays up for two weeks. I'll see if I can set up a place where you can download old episodes.

Right on! Keep it up! I do a late-night radio show here in Portland, as well, on Freeform Portland. Play lots of noise stuff, including local stuff, as well as making, producing, and remixing noise and other experimental music, as dessicant, which you can follow along with @ https://www.facebook.com/d3ssicant/?fref=ts

Will definitely be listening! Would love to collaborate and help make Portland an even noisier, crazier place!

FYI, the radio station now makes all of its archives streamable (the audio used to go away after two weeks).

Everything is archived here: http://xray.fm/shows/troubled-sleep
