Check out some of my 'Performance vivante' or 'exploration sonore'. They're just about having fun improvising noise...

Most noise I listen to does not have lyrics, therefore an imagery is not forced down my throat. In other words, it pretty much reflects what I bring to it.

I've heard some people describe some of my sets as a healing sound. The notion of healing was not on my radar, so I think it's safe to say you can pretty much ignore the artist statement and weigh value on content alone...

A lot of noise is pretty ambiguous but when I hear "pedalcore" or power electronics, I fail to associate it with anything but hatred or angst.
ahem...

I think the sound really does bring a feeling with it, whether it's intentional or not. Harsh noise can be really, really relaxing. Gen 26's set at the show the other day had the entire crowd zoning right out, it was so hypnotic in a way I find hard to describe. But the exact same style can seem very abrasive and yeah, angry.

That would be the exception to what I said. I've listened to HNW stuff and totally spaced out, dropped everything i was doing, turned off the lights and just lay there and listen, completely relaxed. This happens much more often with free improv and ambient-ish stuff.
ahem...
