Re: post dream gear

The version I saw uses a PN2222A transistor (Not a capacitor, I am a moron), that one you posted is a bunch easier still, though.

Re: Midi Keyboard+Pedals

If you want, you can get a DI box, or just down the volume on the output.

Re: Midi Keyboard+Pedals

Look at the outing on the picture. "Audio To" and "Audio From" has an output number and an input number. Your interface has two mono outputs, and two mono inputs.

Re: Midi Keyboard+Pedals

Yeah, looking at the interface, it only has one stereo output. When I was using my old M-Audio Fast Track, which is quite similar, I would record what I wanted from the keyboard, play it back through some gear, and back in to the DAW. Here's a screenshot of what your routing should look like. routin...

Re: post dream gear

The cone shredder is a meat box and bass fuzz, isn't it? At any rate, there's a simple mod you can make to a DS-1 to make it sounds quite like a buzz box. Never did it myself, so I can't say how close it is, but for the cost of a second hand DS-1 and a capacitor, you can't really go too wrong.

Re: Painfully novice

You have all the gear you need, once you have a way to record on to your computer. Grab a couple of VSTs and just record stuff and mangle it until it sounds right. I'm assuming you know how to use an EQ, because you have an amp modeller. A lot of people seem to forget how easy it is to carve the sou...

Re: Your recent purchases:

Got a second Caline Snakebite. It's a really great reverb for the price, just wanted stereo. The filter and resonance are really great features, it can sound surprisingly realistic if you get the settings right.

Re: built in effect.

This is as good as you're gonna get. Before you go cutting and desoldering shit, go buy some alligator clips, some hookup wire, and a wire stripper. Practice soldering with those, connecting the clips to the wire. Open the guitar, and snip the wire that's connected to the guitar output, leave a good...
