I still stand by the classic Altoids Tin shaker box. Perfect size to hold and shake. I generally fill mine with pennies and loose change. I often times end up breaking it if I use it live and having to repair it afterwards.

I've only thrown a table once (splinter squid in seattle). Felt pretty good hurling it all into a dumb tone. I kind of see the point in the Gov Alpha video though. If you're having a mediocre set, and you (as well as the audience) can tell, it's a nice way to finish it off and get it over with. I'm ...

One of the things I always do with iZotope mastering through ozone is to play it through every possible output. I always listen and re-adjust through the following: Sony DJ Headphones (model # escapes me) Earbud headphones Fisher Speaker Cabs Phillips Micro-Stereo Speakers Shitty computer speakers f...

Just got back from Portland and the film night in Victoria for the VNF2007. Let me get my bearings together as this weekend was a fucking blast, through and through. There were great sets from everyone, and while I try and get my head back together and recover from it, I'd like to give a big big big...

in my ol' laptop noise days I used to run audiomulch with 2 instances on reaktor running the banan electrique amp sims with both cranked strangely, then midi assign to various VSTS and scream into a mic and tweak the shit out of it. Got some interesting results.

I never really bought monster cables in the first place because they were ridiculously overpriced here, I'm pretty low budget as-is anyway.

However, this is a pretty fucked up and shitty situation, word will be passed around to any hi-fi nuts I know of.

I multitrack everything and do some post-processing on it, but not too too much. My main goal is to be as dense in sound as possible. Unforgiving and thick.

ANY AND ALL BT.HN. We were listening to a BT.HN. album while in seattle(don't recall which album), and it was quite possibly the heaviest and evil sounding thing I have ever heard. Same with Ba.Ku. Having to play after sam in vancouver was possibly the most intimidating thing ever. As I told friends...

Maybe its due to the fact that I have the digitech grunge, but overall I am nowhere near as impressed with it as I am with the Arion Metal Master. For some reason that[arion] distortion is fucking perfect in an fl. Though it's only two band eq'ing, it stands way higher than the grunge for me. So far...

best bet would be a white noise generator y-cabled in with your guitar signal with a volume pedal prior to the Y cable, so you could mix in the white noise signal with the guitar.

Could be crazy, might just work.
