Re: island too small...

You solved a murder.

And all you had was the benefit of hindsight.

I guess all the police need hindsight training.

I appreciate all the frantic googling you're doing though.

If I was just trolling you I'd consider that a sure sign that you're mad bro.

Re: island too small...

Aaah I forgot old men don't lie and nobody over the age of 60 has ever murdered anyone And have you seen him? He's not exactly frail You're still saying they should have just accepted his story. On the scene Without having time to check facts, examine the crime scene or do any policey stuff. I'm thi...

Re: island too small...

Jesus wept. The point is. You say he shouldn't have been arrested as he was defending his home. So the police, on arrival at the scene of a murder should just accept his word that it is indeed his house, the dead man is indeed a burglar, and that he had no options other than fight or die and not arr...

Re: island too small...

"wrong, i assume you are in the UK, so why do you not know protocol?" "So what part of being arrested in the UK have I got wrong?" You avoid the question. You suspect me of being obtuse?? You must have a suspicious mind. Which is odd because you expect the police to just accept the story told to the...

Re: island too small...

So what part of being arrested in the UK have I got wrong? Ive covered that what you say will be recorded. I omitted that that they also warn you that what you say can be used against you and it may harm your defence if you don't say something you later rely on in court, I also omitted that you can ...

Re: island too small...

RE Your first point. We could go round and round in circles here but I think our disagreement has more to do semantics than anything else. So you agree that if a man is dead there should be an effort made to establish the facts. The man with the bloody screwdriver, who called the police and told the...

Re: island too small...

His arrest is part of the investigation so I'm not sure what you're upset about. If the word 'arrest' was replaced by 'read his rights and offered access to free legal advice' would it still bother you as much? The fact that he is on bail already shows they aren't exactly throwing the book at him. I...

Re: island too small...

That's a fair point. But from what I've read the stabbing occurred during a struggle so I guess you could call it an unfortunate accident. Regarding the dead guys family. If he comes from some criminal, chavvy family then Mr Stabbyman should probably move. Those types love a vendetta so this probabl...

Re: island too small...

Castle doctrine doesn't mean you can kill someone and there be no questions asked. UK law does give you the right to use reasonable force. This will likely go to court. But it's extremely unlikely that he'll get a custodial sentence if he's found guilty. I can't imagine a jury finding him guilty any...

Re: island too small...

Eh?

If you stab someone to death you're gunna get arrested.

Being arrested is not the same as being charged and it's definitely not the same as going to court and being found guilty.

Re: London 25 Nov "Beyond the Mask" w. Isn'tses + more

Did not expect to see the Harp club mentioned here. God I hate that place. It was good in the 90s when they turned a blind eye to skinning up but the last time I went there I left in disgust. There's never a good time to have a sweaty virgin shout "Slaay-Ah!" in your face while you're elbowing your ...

Re: Octave/Pitch Shifter

I was using the pitch shifter to beef up synths. With the fx600 I could just adjust the knobs and get satisfying sounds. The us600 is tied to specific notes ( IIRC - going back a couple of years ) so a less fun approach. There was also something about the sound / tone I didn't like. Instant nope. Co...

Re: Octave/Pitch Shifter

I had the us600 but sold it after a couple of days. Just didn't enjoy using it, I found it sterile and was instantly disappointed. The pitchshifter on behringer fx600 multi fx pedal was more enjoyable. Guess it depends on what you want to do with it and how accurate you need it to be. But forget all...
