Re: Value of experimentation in making noise music

Yes, absolutely.
Me experimenting with making noises is the most satisfying aspect for me, then secondly getting to hear other people's reactions. Perhaps mainly I don't really care what other people think.

Re: My BandCamp

Hey man, from a personal perspective I definitely prefer your first album. There are definitely more harsh tones in the new one! Still dig it though.

This is sick. What did you use?
This was my question as well - sent Cador a PM (check ya inbox)

Sounds like it should be software produced given the stereo panning / samples and overall mastering. Really good noise, more please.

Give it 15 years and just like cassette tapes, this place will be back in fashion and everyone will want a slice.

Re: What is going on?

It does seem pretty quiet here. I recently joined because I thought it seemed quite an active place.

Condom or balloon over the end of a vacuum cleaner. Pierce holes in it and away you go.

Re: Turntable

I am currently experimenting with turntables. Will post some of my better results here when I get something I am happy with. I have a pair of Pioneer PLX-1000's which are pretty solid DJ turntables (they were developed as a cheaper Technics 1210 replacement) One good thing with these is the +/- 50% ...

Re: My BandCamp

Purchased after listening to the first couple of tracks, this is exactly the sort of varied noisy electronic soundscapes I am after. Great stuff indeed.

Re: Tell me about your day...

Saw a lot of roadkill yesterday.

* Badger - large adult, squished across the road. Had to dodge to avoid the carcass.
* Squirrel (x2 no, in different locations)
* Pheasant - hen bird
* Hedgehog - probably a few days old, quite spread about :eew:

Re: Beginner Noise Setup Advice

On a behringer tip, I bought one of the DX626 mixers as a "cheap" stop gap when I moved once and my real Pioneer mixer was in storage. It was the cheapest feeling (flimsiest) mixer I've ever used, the faders were very soft feeling and there was some annoying internal noise on one of the channels tha...

Re: CHEFKIRK - "Plays" - NEW PRO CD

As instructed, I have been playing this Plays in my CD player and it is a rather engrossing listen. I enjoy my noise interspersed with variety and density shifts so this ticks all my boxes. I also still place value on physical copies of music and so it is good to have this on CD. Physical music tend...

Re: 0-coast

This and the Morphagene are capable of some sexy things. If I could afford to start off with modular then one of these bad boys would be on the list.

For now I'll keep scouring reverb / eBay for cheap shitty pedals
